Handle Object Manager See HOM.
hard termination The abrupt method of ending the execution of an application. When
you perform a hard termination, any calls in progress are cut off.
You should not use hard termination for applications servicing
customers.
Use the APPMAN Terminate/Un-Assign Lines tool to define the
termination type.
Contrast with soft termination.

hashed Refers to database files designed to access data through a hashing
algorithm. You must specify a maximum size when you create a
hashed file.
Hashed files usually offer the fastest access to data—especially for a
large number of records.
Also known as Hash-Sequenced Access Method (HSAM) files.
Contrast with indexed, TDQ.
