Customizing OSPF Multicast Extensions

Enabling Dynamic TTL
You can configure MOSPF to drop multicast packets that do not have a TTL high
enough to reach the closest group member.
By default, this feature is disabled.
You can use the following Site Manager procedure to enable and disable the
feature as required.
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
OSPF/MOSPF
. The OSPF menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit OSPF Global Parameters
window opens.
5. Set the
Multicast
Dynamic TTL
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-35.
6. Click on
OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
